The agritourism farm-restaurant of Al Bon Vento is a place of connections and crossovers. Under one roof is an organic farming family of 4 generations, with new members from far away bringing a Japanese influence and graciousness.
After your wholefood desert, you can walk a few steps to the seashore, where over the still waters of Laguna di Grado, the lights of Austria, Slovenia and Trieste glitter. Our dishes are mostly Vegan, Vegetarian, and macrobiotic, created with ingredients that are grown organically, and sometimes picked that day from the fields and orchards adjacent to your dining room.
The menu changes with the seasons, and is priced to be accessible to everybody. With advance notice we create dishes for people with special dietary needs, free of allergens or problem ingredients. Our 28-seat restaurant is open every weekday from March to July, and again from September to December, but we are available year-round to pre-booked groups of 10 or more people on Weekends and public holidays, and during our holiday seasons.
We sell our vegetables, bread, home-made tofu, seitan, and more at the Monfalcone Market every Wednesday.
The last Friday of each month we organize a traditional Japanese dinner (not vegetarian) with the gourmet Sachie Sakaguchi (pre-booking essential) For reservations, phone +39 333 1070 983 or email albonvento (at) gmail.com
The restaurant is surrounded by seashore and the national parks of Valle Cavanata and Isola della Cona. During the day people come to this special region to enjoy birdwatching and the bike track that runs though the parks, along the river Isonzo, and alongside the beach, then enjoy leisurely evenings in the friendly local B&Bs. Its an area that attracts slow-foodies, backpackers and WWOOFers.
We are a a short drive from Monfalcone station, and 15 minutes to Trieste International airport.
For reservations, phone +39 333 1070 983 or email albonvento (at) gmail.com
